OUR MISSION IS TO PROTECT BIODIVERSITY THROUGH RESEARCH PROJECTS

OUR RESEARCH PROJECTS ARE TARGETED AT

  • ENDANGERED SPECIES
  • SPECIES WITH A PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE LOCAL IMPORTANCE
  • SPECIES OF INTEREST FOR THE RESTORATION OF LOCAL ECOSYSTEMS
  • SYMBOLIC LOCAL SPECIES
  • TAXONOMICALLY ISOLATED SPECIES

eURAFRICA CONSERVATION PROJECTS aims at implementing field research which combines traditional wildlife management techniques and innovative scientific disciplines in conservation, especially if these are non-invasive, like bioacoustics and ecoacoustics

We firmly believe that the study of vocal behaviour as well as the analysis of vocalisations can provide precious information on the density, health status and potential threats of animal populations

In addition, these types of data give details on biotic factors which determine the presence of key species and may help detecting particular local adaptations
